During the iteration of software versions, the v3.8.3 version has exposed problems in configuring the MCP Server. Some users encountered rather thorny situations when attempting to install the MCP server in this version. Even though the JSON format seems flawless, users still receive an error message indicating an invalid MCP settings format, which prevents the installation from proceeding smoothly. Meanwhile, some users directly encounter error reports during the configuration process.
It is worth noting that when these users apply the same configuration to the 3.8.2 version, such error reports do not occur. From this, it can be reasonably inferred that there are likely some undiscovered defects in the 3.8.3 version itself, which lead to frequent errors such as an invalid MCP settings format when configuring the MCP Server.
Regarding these issues, some possible solutions have been proposed currently, including saving the file and restarting VSCode, as well as reloading the window. However, whether these measures can completely resolve the problems of configuring the MCP Server in the v3.8.3 version remains to be further observed and verified. It is hoped that the development team can attach importance to this issue and conduct troubleshooting and repairs on the 3.8.3 version as soon as possible to ensure that users can smoothly configure and use the MCP Server.
